Andrew Lucio Mbewe is a software engineer, physicist, and entrepreneur based in Lusaka. His work bridges financial technology, software engineering, artificial intelligence, and data science, with a particular focus on building digital infrastructure and technology-driven solutions for emerging markets in Africa. He is the Co-Founder and Lead Software Engineer of Goliath Financials, where he leads the development of investment and capital markets technology for the Lusaka Securities Exchange. He holds both a Master of Science in Physics and a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science from the University of Zambia.

Andrew's research interests span artificial intelligence, medical imaging, computational physics, financial systems, and data analytics. His master's thesis, Computer-aided Diagnosis of Breast Cancer via Mammography, explored the application of deep learning and computer vision to improve breast cancer detection using locally sourced mammographic data from Zambia, contributing to the growing intersection of healthcare and AI. He is particularly interested in applying advanced technologies to solve complex challenges in healthcare, finance, and economic development across Africa.
